Substrate requirement
The substrate must comply with the applicable standards, must be solid, free of loose particles, free of dust, paint, residues of demoulding products and efflorescence. It must be sufficiently rough, dry and evenly absorbent. The surface shall not be frozen or water-repellent. The substrate shall be stable in volume.
Substrate preparation
Depending on the climatic conditions and the absorbency of the substrate, it is advisable to first moisten the masonry adequately, especially in warm weather, to prevent the mortar from drying out prematurely. In cold weather, the masonry must be dry. The substrate must comply with applicable regulations, standards or material manufacturer's recommendations.
Preparation of the mixture
Pour 25 kg of CEMIX 1351 MASONRY MORTAR 5MPA into 7,37 L (approx. 0,295 l/kg) of clean water. Mix for 5 minutes using a slow-speed propeller mixer to a homogeneous mixture without lumps. Let it rest for 3 minutes. Then mix again briefly. Use suitable machinery when processing by machine.
