WHITE FINE INTERMEDIATE PLASTER

For perfectly white and smooth walls

Lime-cement levelling with hydrophobic properties

  • With white cement: Provides the ideal background for coloured plasters and paints. Reflects the sun's rays. For controlled, crack-reducing setting behaviour.
  • Fine structure: to create an intermediate layer after base plaster and before applying decorative finishing layer of plaster or paint.
  • Hydrophobic: with more lime. Has a water repellent effect and protects against stains.
  • Vapour permeability: provides a pleasant indoor climate.

Area of application

  • Outdoors: wall + ceiling
  • Indoor: wall + ceiling

Processing method

  • For hand and machine processing
  • Vapor-permeable plaster for internal and external fine leveling of lime-white cement base plasters, in new and old residential and industrial buildings. It is applied as an intermediate layer on underlying lime-cement base plasters and before applying the final decorative or plaster or topcoat. It is of limited use where soil moisture levels are consistently high.

Substrate requirement

The substrate must comply with the relevant standards, be sound, stable, free from loose particles, dust, dirt, oil, mould release agent residues and efflorescence.
Substrate temperatures between +5°C and +25°C are recommended.

Substrate preparation

Before starting the work, cover the surfaces that need to be protected!
Any defects in the wall must be repaired at least three days before the start of the works. Remove all loose plaster, fill large cracks and pipe grooves with baseplaster.
If necessary, moisten the surface a few hours before plastering. In the case of a highly absorbent substrate Cemix plaster primer must be used before applying the smoothing plaster.

Preparation of the mixture

Feinputz W is mixed with water on the construction site. Mixing can be done in a concrete mixer, with a mixing machine (using a suitable mixing arm) or by hand

Amount of water for mixing: 10 l/40 kg bag (approx. 0.25 l/kg)
Consumption: approx. 1,4 kg/ m2 for 1 mm thick layer. The exact material requirement can be determined by a test application.
Application time: approx. 2 hours.
Processing conditions: During the work, the temperature of the material, air and substrate should be between +5°C and +25°C.
Shelf life, storage: in a dry place in unopened packaging 12 months from the date of production.

Processing instructions

The plaster is applied manually with a stainless trowel in the required thickness, leveled and immediately scraped with a sponge scraper.
Processing tools: stainless trowel, sponge scraper.

Treatment after application

Hardened plaster should be protected from drying too quickly in warm and windy weather by spraying water for 2 days. The plastered surface can be painted, treated with mineral plaster or finished with decorative plasters. On freshly plastered surfaces with Feinputz W, the next coating layer is applied only after a minimum drying time of 7 days. The plaster can be coated with mineral plaster, thick or thin, silicone, silicate colouring plaster, facade paints.
