PLINTH BASE PLASTER
Formerly 132
Durable high-strength protection
Perfect for both plinths and splash-prone areas
- Cement-lime base plaster: excellent for the plinth and all areas where higher strength and hardness of the plaster is required.
- Highly water repellent: for the splash water zone on buildings, fences or retaining walls.
- As a substrate for coverings, e.g. fine plaster, mosaic plasters, ceramic and heavy tiles.
- For manual plastering.
Area of application
- Outdoors: wall + ceiling
- Indoor: wall + ceiling
Heating and cooling area
- Wall
Processing method
- For hand processing
- For plastering exposed and uncovered plinths on buildings or fences.
- For areas where greater strength and hardness is required.
- As a substrate for ceramic or stone tiles.

Substrate requirement
The substrate must comply with the applicable standards, must be solid, free of loose particles, free of dust, paint, residues of demoulding products and efflorescence. It must be sufficiently rough, dry and evenly absorbent. The surface shall not be frozen or water-repellent. The substrate shall be stable in volume.
Substrate preparation
Depending on the water absorption of the substrate and climatic conditions, use Cemix Primer on absorbent substrates, roughen smooth substrates or use Cemix Contact Bridge. Modify non-standard substrates with a suitable method to achieve the desired properties. Smooth out any unevenness in the substrate with suitable Cemix materials and allow to dry and cure. The substrate must comply with applicable regulations, standards or material manufacturer's recommendations.
Preparation of the mixture
Pour 25 KG of CEMIX 2030 PLINTH BASE PLASTER into 3,7-4,5 L of clean water. Mix for 5 minutes using a drum mixer or slow speed propeller mixer to a homogeneous mass without lumps. Leave to rest for 3 minutes. Then mix again briefly. Use suitable machinery when processing by machine.

Processing instructions
Apply the plaster to the surface with a trowel. Level the surface to the desired layer thickness with a lath. After the plaster has tightened, smooth the surface using a sponge trowel. The curing time of the base plaster is at least 1 day per 1 mm layer thickness.
The plaster forms the base and leveling layer for the trass plaster with paint. When using mosaic plaster, the plaster must first be coated with Cemix adhesive filler. Under no circumstances must the plaster be left untreated for long periods (especially over the winter period).
