FINE INTERMEDIATE PLASTER

For water-repellent and perfectly smooth walls

Lime-cement levelling with hydrophobic properties

  • Fine structure: to create an intermediate layer after base plaster and before applying decorative finishing layer of plaster or paint.
  • Hydrophobic: with more lime. Has a water repellent effect and protects against stains.
  • Vapour permeability: provides a pleasant indoor climate.
  • Frost resistant: for internal and external surfaces.
  • Easy to use: for fast manual proccesing.

Area of application

  • Outdoors: wall + ceiling
  • Indoor: wall + ceiling

Processing method

  • For hand and machine processing
  • Vapor-permeable plaster for internal and external fine leveling of lime-cement base plasters, in new and old residential and industrial buildings. It is applied as an intermediate layer on underlying lime-cement base plasters and before applying the final decorative or plaster or topcoat. It is of limited use where soil moisture levels are consistently high.

Substrate requirement

The substrate must comply with the relevant standards, be sound, stable, free from loose particles, dust, dirt, oil, mould release agent residues and efflorescence.
Substrate temperatures between +5°C and +25°C are recommended.

Substrate preparation

Before starting the work, cover the surfaces that need to be protected! Any defects in the wall must be repaired at least three days before the start of the works. Remove all loose plaster, fill large cracks and pipe grooves with backing plaster.
If necessary, moisten the surface a few hours before plastering.

Preparation of the mixture

The fine lime-cement mortar Feinputz A is mixed with water on the construction site. Mixing with a hand mixer (with a suitable attachment) or by hand. Amount of water for mixing: 6 l/25 kg bag (approx. 0.25 l/kg) Consumption: approx. 1,5 kg/m2/mm. The exact material requirement can be determined by a test application. Layer thickness: 2-3 mm. Application time: approx. 2 hours. Processing conditions: During the work, the temperature of the material, air and substrate should be between +5°C and +25°C. Shelf life, storage: in a dry place in unopened packaging 12 months from the date of production.

Processing instructions

The plaster is applied manually with a stainless trowel in the required thickness, leveled and immediately scraped with a plastic scraper, if necessary for further surface treatment. The recommended application thickness is between 2-3 mm. Processing tools: stainless trowel, plastic scraper, butterfly, angle spoon.

Treatment after application

Hardened plaster should be protected from drying too quickly in warm and windy weather. The plastered surface can be painted, treated with mineral plaster or finished with decorative plasters.
