Substrate requirement
The substrate must comply with the applicable standards, be solid, free of loose parts, free of dust, paint, release agent residues and efflorescence. It must be sufficiently rough, dry and uniformly absorbent. The surface must not be frozen or water-repellent. The substrate must be dimensionally stable and level.
Substrate preparation
Depending on substrate water absorption and climatic conditions, the following is needed: Use Cemix 2613 primer on absorbent substrates, roughen smooth substrates or use Cemix 2620 or Cemix 8040 contact bridge. Alternatively, modify the substrate with a suitable method to achieve the desired properties. The substrate must comply with applicable standards, or material manufacturer's recommendations.
Preparation of the mixture
Pour the dry mixture into the prescribed amount of water and mix thoroughly into a homogeneous mass without lumps. Leave to stand for about 5 minutes and then stir the mixture briefly again.

Processing instructions
Bonding the insulation: the mineral wool thermal insulation is first thinly coated at the bonding points (the adhesive is rubbed into the surface of the insulation) and the required amount of adhesive is applied immediately afterwards. The adhesive shall be applied to the reverse side of the insulation board, either as a continuous strip around the perimeter and at least three targets in the middle, or all over with a tooth trowel. In the case of all-over bonding, the compound is applied with a tooth trowel; the height of the tooth of the trowel is chosen according to the flatness of the substrate (min. 10 mm for an ideally flat substrate). In the case of mineral wool with perpendicular fibres (lamellae), always apply the adhesive all over! In the case of machine processing, the adhesive can also be applied to the substrate in a serpentine pattern so that the spacing is approx. 200 mm. Bond the thermal insulation boards to the adhesive applied in this way. The active adhesive time is approx. 20 minutes, so only apply the adhesive to an area that can be safely lined during this time. The minimum bonding area must meet the requirements prescribed by the manufacturer of the thermal insulation system and is based on the method of bonding and mechanical anchoring of the thermal insulation boards. The bonding and trowelling system is described in detail in the Cemix thermal insulation system technological documents.
Base layer application: Before the the base layer is applied must be applied the corner, termination, connection, expansion strips and reinforcement (at the corners of the openings, at the junction of the different insulants, etc.). The total recommend thickness of the reinforcement layer is 3mm. The reinforcing mesh shall be placed 1/2 to 1/3 of the thickness of the reinforcement layer from the outer surface and covered with a minimum 1 mm layer. After the final alignment of the reinforcement layer, the reinforcing mesh must not be exposed (even after grinding out any irregularities). The substrate thus prepared is used for the application of the top plaster.
