AQUASTOP FLEX
Maximum sealing. Reliable water protection. Long lasting.
One component cement hydro-insulation that preserves your building structure
- Dispersion: maintains its high flexibility even under extreme temperature conditions
- Fast drying: walkable in 4hrs
- Fibre reinforced: highly crack resistant. Does not require additional mesh
- Chlorinated water resistant: ideal sealing for swimming pools
- Frost resistant: for indoor and outdoor use
Area of application
- Outdoor: floor + wall
- Indoor: floor + wall
- For swimming pool
Heating and cooling area
- Floor + Wall
Processing method
- For hand processing
- For surfaces exposed to industrial and domestic water for waterproofing prior to covering (showers, pools, kitchens, etc.). Ideal for areas subject to large temperature fluctuations: sun-lit terraces, underfloor and wall heating.

Substrate requirement
The substrate must comply with the applicable standards, must be solid, free of loose particles, free of dust, paint, residues of demoulding agents and efflorescence. It must be sufficiently rough, dry, evenly absorbent and matured. The surface must not be frozen or water repellent. The substrate must be stable in volume.
Substrate preparation
Highly absorbent base surfaces must be pre-moistened so that there is no water film on the surface when the insulation is applied.
Preparation of the mixture
Pour 25 KG OF CEMIX 8140 AQUASTOP FLEX into 5 L of clean water (0.2 L/KG) for application with a steel trowel. Mix 5 minutes using a slow-speed mixer to a homogeneous and free of lumps mixture. Let it ripe for 5 minutes and stir it up briefly again. In case of intended application with a roller, prepare a thicker consistency by pouring 1 KG of material into only 0.16 L of clean water.

Processing instructions
Apply the material to the substrate with a brush, roller or steel trowel in an even layer thickness. Use reinforcing tape in corners, along connections and around pipe outlets. Apply at least 2 layers. Wait until the previous layer has fully dried before applying the next layer (min. waiting time 4 hours at 20 °C and 50 % humidity).
