TILE ADHESIVE XXL FLEX C2TS1

Gel adhesive: Ensures zero slip!

Holds heavy, large-format ceramics and mosaics with small adhesive surfaces in place.

  • XXL: High immediate adhesion for large format floor and heavy wall tiles larger than 60x60cm.
  • For ceramic tiles, porcelaine stoneware and natural stone.
  • C2: Adhesive strengths > 1MPa. Tested -20 - +70°C.
  • T: Reduced slip. For tiling from top to floor.
  • Crystalline water binding: For very thin decorative joints with low evaporation capacity. Binds the mixing water in the adhesive. Protects moisture sensitive materials such as natural stone, wood or calcium sulphate screeds from building moisture and discolouration.
  • Contains trass: Prevents the formation of efflorescence. For outdoor areas exposed to water.
  • Fine grain 0.4mm: Creamy consistency for easy application.
  • S1 Flexible: For stairs, balconies and terraces and all areas exposed to sunshine.
  • For all dry and wet areas, including pools.
  • For garages: for loads up to 3,5to.

Area of application

  • Outdoor: floor + wall
  • Indoor: floor + wall
  • For humid areas
  • For swimming pool

Heating and cooling area

  • Floor + Wall

Processing method

  • For hand processing
  • Suitable for large format tiles. In indoor and outdoor areas.
  • For extremely low water-absorbent ceramic materials.
  • Suitable for areas with traffic loads up to 3,5to: car, forklift.

Processing details

Substrate requirement

The substrate must comply with the applicable standards, must be solid, free of loose particles, free of dust, paint, residues of demoulding substances and efflorescence. It must be sufficiently rough, dry and evenly absorbent. The surface shall not be frozen or water-repellent. The substrate must be stable in volume.

Substrate preparation

Depending on the water absorbency of the substrate and climatic conditions, the following may be required Use Cemix Primer on absorbent substrates, roughen smooth substrates or use Cemix Contact Bridge. For non-standard substrates, modify with a suitable method to achieve the desired properties. Smooth any irregularities in the substrate with suitable Cemix materials and allow to dry and cure. Substrate must comply with applicable codes, standards or material manufacturer's recommendations.

Preparation of the mixture

Pour 25 KG of CEMIX 8265 TILE ADHESIVE XXL FLEX into 6.5-7.5 L of clean water. Mix for 5 minutes with a slow-speed paddle mixer to a homogeneous mixture without lumps. Leave to rest for 3 minutes. Then mix again briefly. Use suitable machinery when processing by machine.

Processing instructions

Apply a thin contact layer to the substrate with the straight edge of the stainless steel trowel. Then apply the adhesive in 3-12 mm layer thickness with a notched trowel in one direction.
Lay the tiles and adjust them within 20 minutes open time. In case the open time is exceeded, do not tile anymore. The applied adhesive must be removed in this case.
In case of uneven substrates use buttering floating process : Apply adhesive as described also on the reverse side of the tile.
Immediately remove fresh adhesive residues from the tiles using a sponge and clean water.

Treatment after application

Non-absorbent tiles prolong the curing period.
Avoid sun, heat, humidity and draughts. Protect from frost. Direct heating of the surface is not permitted.

Tool and cleaning instructions

After finishing work, wash the tools immediately with clean water. Remove dried residues mechanically.
Smaller deposits can be removed with acetic (diluted acetic acid) or a special cement paint cleaner.
